Although Pitt's 'big break' is often attributed to the movie Thelma and Louise (1991), he actually had some success on Television, with roles Dallas, thirtysomething, 21 Jump Street, Freddy's Nightmares, Another World, Growing Pains and Head of the Class.  His first staring movie role was in The Dark of the Sun in 1988.  Unfortunately, the movie was being filmed in Yugoslavia and civil war broke out during the editing process.  Much of the footage was lost for a decade, but it was eventually released in 1998. 

The role of Louis de Pointe du Lac in Interview With The Vampire earned him stardom. He followed up that success with Legends of the Fall, Se7en and other movies. He won an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1995 film Twelve Monkeys and numerous other awards as well.  His part in Seven Years in Tibet(1997) resulted in a lifetime ban from ever entering China.

Pitt has been linked to a number of beautiful women over the years, including Robin Givens, Juliette Lewis, Gwyneth Paltrow (engaged 1996-1997), Jennifer Aniston (married 2000 - 2005) and  Angelina Jolie.
