George W. Bush Carved Emu Egg

George W. Bush
July 6, 1946 (New Haven, Connecticut)

This carved emu egg features the forty-third president of the United States of America, George W. Bush.  The eldest son of the forty-first president, George Herbert Walker Bush, he grew up in Midland, TX.  After graduating from Yale with a bachelor’s degree in 1968 he returned to Texas and joined the Texas Air National Guard and became a fighter pilot.  He returned to school in 1972 and earned his M. B. A. in 1975.  In 1977 he married Laura Welch.  They are the proud parents of twin daughters, Barbara and Jenna (born 1981).

Defeating incumbent Democrat Ann W. Richards for governor of Texas in 1994, Bush quickly became one of the most popular governors in Texas history and the first to be elected to consecutive four-year terms.  This popularity caught the eye of the National Republican Party and in June, 1999, George W. Bush officially announced his intention to run for president.

After one of the closest, most disputed presidential elections in U. S. History, George W. Bush was inaugurated as the 43rd president of the United States on January 20, 2001.

This carved egg comes with a hand turned wooden egg stand and can become a personalized gift with an inscription on the back.  It is also possible to put either George H. Bush or an elephant on the other side of the egg.

Because of the variations of color and texture inherent in the emu egg itself, each carved egg will be unique and make a distinctive addition to any decor or collection.  If you are looking for a "different" housewarming gift, birthday present or other special occasion gift for a staunch republican or Bush fan, this carved egg would delight them.
