Sherlock Holmes

The Great Detective first appeared in A Study in Scarlet, a novel written in 1887 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.  Fifty-six short stories and three more novels followed between 1887 and 1927.

Sherlock Holmes is so much a part of our culture that even his silhouette is recognizable.  He has made guest appearances in numerous novels, short stories, TV shows and even movies over the years.  Star Trek character Spock mentioned during a problem solving session that an ancestor of his once stated that "when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

The Sherlock Holmes Carved Emu Egg comes with it's own hand turned hardwood egg stand and can become a personalized gift with an inscription on the back.

Because of the variations of color and texture inherent in the emu egg itself, each carved egg will be unique and make a distinctive addition to any decor or collection.  If you are looking for a "different" housewarming gift, birthday present or other special occasion gift for a Sherlock Holmes fan, this carved egg will delight them.
