Bringing back the Big Bird

Helping to develop at least one segment of that emerging emu byproducts market is Gary Gunn of Cresson, just southwest of Fort Worth, who uses his emus' large, dark greenish black eggs for etching artwork.  One egg takes him 10 to 12 hours to complete and sells for about $150.00.  Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and The Three Stooges are among the famous likenesses etched into his beautiful eggs, but he specializes in outdoor scenes and personalized custom designs.
